There are some Resorts with strict rules about outside photographers, in Riviera Maya: Aventura Spa, Iberostar, Azul Beach, Dorado Royale, Dreams, Barcelo, Moonpalace and Akumal Beach. These Resorts have some penalization fees when couples want to have an outside photographer. A good way to find out about your Resorts policies is to ask your wedding coordinator or contact us for further information

Should I provide you a meal?
If you have booked Photos In Cancun for more than 4 hours, a meal is requested. This will be a work-through meal. We will continue to work throughout the meal.

What if my wedding is cancelled? What happens to my deposits?
All deposits are non-refundable. However, the deposits can be applied to a rescheduled wedding at the same rates up to one year after the original wedding date.

Are there any policies or restrictions for bringing an outside wedding photographer to my Mayan Riviera resort?
Each resort in Mexico has different rules regarding wedding photographers. Most resorts in the Mayan Riviera, Cancun area have implemented a special rate that they charge to allow photographers on their properties. This fee can range from $100 to $500 USD. It is commonly referred to as a ‘Day Rate’ or ‘External Service Provider Fee’. Resorts with these strict policies have been known to allow us if we are booked as guests into their hotel for the night. Please confirm this with your wedding coordinator, as you will be responsible for ensuring we have proper permission to be on the premises to shoot your wedding.

How long does it take to process our Wedding Photography package?
When can we expect to receive it?

Are all the photos you take on my wedding day included in my package? Will I be able to reproduce these photos? Or do you retain the ‘rights’?
All the files on your DVD are full resolution and you will have full rights to reproduce them or do whatever you like with them. You can bring them to any printing service and do as you wish.

What are the requirements for a civil ceremony in Mexico

The requirements for a civil ceremony between non nationals are:
- Each person must hold a valid Passport
- Tourist card (issued upon entering the country)
- 4 witnesses, 2 per person (each will need a passport or drivers license and tourist card)
- Medical Statement dated within 15 days of the ceremony translated into Spanish by a certified translator that can be either:
*A letter from your family doctor stating the results of Blood Type, HIV and Syphilis
or
*Blood test showing the results of Blood Type, HIV, and Syphilis

Can I have a doctor perform the blood test in my country and take the results to the resort?

No. Blood tests must be taken in Mexico 3 to 4 business days prior to the civil ceremony.

Will our marriage certificate be issued in English or Spanish?

The Marriage Certificate is issued in Spanish. You must register the marriage certificate with your nearest court. Contact your local courthouse for more information.

Is the wedding ceremony in mexico valid in my country ?

A civil marriage is the only ceremony recognized by Mexico and other countries. Your marriage certificate, given to you directly after the ceremony, is your official documentation. Some countries require the wedding certificate legalized, it is also important that you check what are the specific requirements in the country you live.

Can I have a Catholic Ceremony at the Beach ?

No, the Catholic Religion only allows marriages to be performed in a Church as it is considered a sacrament.

How many copies of our birth certificates do you need?

You must have one original with apostille and translation by an official translator. (check with your wedding coordinator).

Can I get married in mexico if I have been divorced?

Yes, you must provide copies of your divorce when turning in your Notice of Intended Marriage.

Can I get married in a church?

Yes, although if you have been divorced most churches will not marry you without prior counseling by the church officials.
